PNG cabinet has sacked minister for Petroleum and Energy William Duma in a mini ministerial reshuffle today. Minister Duma is the Party leader of the United Resources Party. Madang MP Nixon Duban has been appointed as the Minister of Petroleum and Energy.
The cabinet has also replaced Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology David Arore. Sohe MP Delilah Gore is the new minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology. Gumine MP Nick Kuman is the new Education Minister while Robert Akiyapa was appointed new police Minister.
Prime Minister Peter O’neill said a thorough consultation has been done to make the ministerial reshuffle. He says the stability of the country is the paramount and the reshuffle was necessary. He says “Mr.Duma is still in the government and we have not removed his party”.
