PNG Opposition files Vote of No Confidence against Prime Minister O'Neill

The Papua New Guinea  Opposition has finally filed a Motion for a Vote of No Confidence against Prime Minister Peter O'Neil.
Leader Don Polye filed the motion with the Speaker's Office soon after the morning Parliament sitting.
Eleven members have signed in support of the motion.
They include Opposition Leader Don Polye and his Triumph Heritage Empowerment Party members, Kikori's Mark Maipakai and Laiagap-Porgera's Nixon Mangape, Deputy Opposition and Pangu Party Leader, Sam Basil and his Goilala MP William Samb.
Other signatures came from PNG Party Leader and Vanimo Green-River MP, Belden Namah, Melanesian Liberal Party Leader, Doctor Allan Marat, People's Movement for Change Party Leader and Northern Governor, Gary Juffa, East Sepik Governor Grand Chief Sir Michael Somare, and two other Government backbencher.
With the legal and Parliamentary requirement of a week's notice now being satisfied, the vote can be pushed next Wednesday.
While the Opposition has registered a 11-member support for the move, it will require 56 members for the vote to be successful.
